She brought you into the world, nurturing you, loving you,

and letting you go when the time came. If she is still with

you or if she is gone, give thanks for having her and learning

from her.

He taught you how to build things, how to stand up for yourself,

and how to be a man. If he is still with you or if he is gone,

give thanks for having him and learning from him.

He is someone’s son, father and husband. She is someone’s

daughter, wife and mother. Some are with us, others are

not, but all fought (and fight) for our freedom. If they are

with you or if they are gone, give thanks for the sacrifice

they have made so you and I can be free.
