Your poem tells of the reality of heaven and hell. But I refuse to be caught up in the hell of this world because in the midst of the darkness there is still a little light. Praise our Lord Jesus Christ! The Maji came that day after following that big bright star day and night. So now we have no reason to have stress or strife. For HE has given us hope and eternal life. Merry Christmas Joel! Joy to the world for the Lord has come! Now let us go tell the others who think this life is the end. No way! Amen, my friend!
You mentioned holly in this poem with the quintessential colors of Christmas red and green. Makes me recall the bush outside my brother's apartment that was covered with red berries on a very cold snowy day. Suddenly, that bush was filled with robins who seemed to be finding shelter. When they left there wasn't a single red berry left on that bush.
Similarly, my asparagus fern weathers the winter quite well if we don't get a freeze and produces a lot of white berries. I have noticed that my resident mockingbird comes by quite often in the wintertime and snatches one of these white berries for a snack. He seems to carefully ration them to last until spring.
