I miss you
Mr. Daddy
yes I miss you
at night each and every single loving day
so hard
in my bones
don't know why I feel alone
but the morning's gonna come
sitting by the telephone
you can't come back at all
cause there aint no line to heaven
you're never gonna call
Mr. Daddy
Mr. Daddy
hope you're happy
do you see me
as you fly among the clouds
do you miss me
do I make you kinda proud
I try to always
remember what you said
it was so hard
to get it through my head
Mr. Daddy
Mr. Daddy
I remember the day
you went away
you turned down the card
my heart broke apart
the ace
ace of spades
I was so afraid
you said don't be scared
and went who knows where
Mr. Daddy
Mr. Daddy
I miss you
Mr. Daddy
yes I miss you
at night each and every single loving day
I don't know how to treat this one. It certainly is no, Danny Boy. And I wouldn't call it a kids' kind of song either, perhaps a woman who misses her sugar daddy, I don't know. Unless I know, or the melody is very compelling, I won't listen to the song.
