Crowed temple market,
Heart of a people,
Filled with buyers and sellers:
“Doves two a penny!”
“Finest incense” bawling bullocks,
Bleating sheep, evil eyed goats
Crowding out wonder
Crowding out worship...”
Flailing cords, and a sharp word...
A wild man over throws the table
Drives out the beasts, and the buyers and the sellers
“A house of prayer this not a den of thieves!”
Crowded temple heart
Filled with buying and selling;
Excited by images
Of suggested lust, envy, pride,
A heart full of the market;
Full of greed, full of dust:
Crowding out worship
Crowding out wonder
Come lord,
Overturn the tables of my heart;
Drive out the sellers and the buyers and their ware
Cleanse me , lord, to worship
You......
Love, romance, innocence, intrigue, danger, and lust. Life is complicated, and love even more so. Life, and love, can be hazardous to a lady's health. Especially if she's fallen in love with a married pop star.
