“Silently”

Silently she stands there

As night falls upon her head

Depression embraces her body weak

And

As her heartbeat falls upon her chest

So does her tears fall upon her cheek

In heaven she might do well

With this angelical look

But

On earth she casts her spell

Upon the pain

Which within she dwell

As beauty slowly fades away

Darkness covers her face

Withdrawn from this place

Lost

Within darkened melancholy deep

Waiting

For sunshine’s return

But still standing

Silently

And as her heartbeat

Still slowly falls upon her chest

So does the teardrop upon her cheek

In heaven she might do well

But

On earth she casts her spell

Upon the pain

Which within she dwell

Silently

You do an amazing job of describing a vast range of emotions. It sure is a long wait for sunshine to return sometimes.

This is a stunning beauty, Tinka. Your images are so clear that I could see her tears welling and silently dripping down her face.

Dear Tinka,
You have such inimitable style. This poem is haunting in its imagery. I get a picture of huge soft eyes etched by pain.
Great job!

Sad, Tinka. Life has too many ups and downs. Pain is often the door to pleasure. Cheer up. the Sun has to shine and the darkness has to disppear.

I agree with Eileen, Tinka; lots of blue writes around today - maybe we all need those 'Happy Injections.' That is a captivating picture, though.
