“That Keeps Me Breathing”
In open air above my head
I raise my eyes to heavens face
To search for endless love
There where Moon shines so dim tonight
Dreaming of better days
Trying
To forget about life’s sorrows
Wishing
The wind could just blow them
Across the ocean… far away
Restless at times
This aching heart of mine
When heavy thoughts
Half hidden behind my tears
Mocking me constantly
As the absence
Of detailed explanations
Becomes a story
So difficult to tell
When during “combat” moments
I am falling down
Not dead… nor alive
But upon my knees
As I raise my eyes to heavens face
To search for your love
That keeps me breathing
In hope
For better tomorrows

This has my heart balled up like a fist. You are a conduit for that pain. You turn it into such beautiful prose.
