It seems like a dream… but I know a place that holds the sky close The moon is tired… she look so weak If wishes were for sale I wish I had your name Then I will go onboard your hearts port And I will sail away… sail away And listen to the still whispers of the night Oh I love all shiny things I love the moon and I love you I love blowing bubbles And singing in the rain Oh! I love all beauteous things If I could bid and make a choice I would be the happiest thing on earth It seems like a dream… but I know another place that holds the pain Over dark waters of fame Oh! Wind where have you been Slowly and silently as the moon fades away Seagulls starts flying from the sea Over dark waters… where I sit in vain Trying to dream and forget my pain

Let all your cares drift away...
Pass them on for another day
As we look deep within
Let us master the next plan-
hello Tinks,
poem that pain away
and lets go out and play!
The playground awaits,
love and joy dictates.
We're all reaching,
poetically preaching,
trying to kill the bad,
drown out the sad,
and word in the glad.
Seems like glads not listening,
but moonbeams keep on glistening.
Stars keep on shining bright,
guiding us through night.
Life continues on living,
it's us that's not forgiving.
You are so gifted in writing beauty within sadness!
Wonderfully done Tinka!
Love,
Eileen

Such a bautiful poem . . . until it wasn't anymore. You found a way to find gloom within happiness. Tinka, what am I going to do with you? Actually, I liked it very much.
I hear the seagulls cry. And envision a sailboat stalled in a windless sea waiting for wind. If I could, I would give you azure skies, blue-green waters and a lover's moon, my friend. Beauty, Tinka!
Yes I agree with Sweet Kate on this one it does ebb and flow with both love and sadness and the imagery is magnificent. It feels like a place all poets could be at ease and all lovers in love.
Could so feel the ebb and flow of the undercurrents of this one, Tinka - the raw emotion is tugging! But I am truly captured by the beauty of your images, and especially the lines: "I know a place that holds the sky close The moon is tired - she looks so weak" - THAT is a poem in itself! Inspirational and stirring. TY Kate xx

Still Living on my Feet is the follow up to Tichaona Chinyelu’s first book, In the Whirlwind, which was rooted in a sense of hard-hitting revolutionary black love. However, in this sophomore effort, Tichaona brings the revolutionary essence from deep
