“Heart”

Heart!! What is wrong with you
Now is the time to work to pump
Silently and out of sight
For days now without a break
You make these silly jokes with me
You stutter you cry you force me
You moan and you groan like a pig
You jump around between my ribs
And I don’t know why you are so disturbed
You are my lifeline my body guard my gossip
You listen to every word that I said
What? What did you say heart?
You have to speak up heart and tell me
Or you have to keep quite like a slave
You must honor my feelings
Interjection of justice excitement
Fear and happiness
Provocation of every embargo
What did I hear from you earlier
Was that love or was that fear
That you let through just now
What does all your excitement help you
If you start all over again
What good does it do to you
If you too let me suffer so!!!
Please get a grip on reality
Before we both land up in fatality
When you stop and I die
Now is the time to work not to jump
Joy is not your toy
It belong to another

Well done Tinks! Yep the ole heart can be the best of friends or your most costly enemy! Ours must be related because mine hops, slips, and flops too sometimes. I never thought about telling it off before though! ;-) Let me know if it helps any! LOL

This is a cute and clever write. It made me laugh seeing you scold your heart. LOL...did it listen? ~ Sara

fun and tad piece Tink. I wonder about my heart too. The doctor says there's too much pressure on it. If one day I dissappear, know that it gave out and that maybe I'm dead but until then we have some living to do. My heart, your heart and I will be doing my fifth poetry reading tonight, all my poetic friends live in my heart and soul

so much a part of out live so much a part of our death, the physical and spiritual values of the heart are so closely related that it is sometimes hard to separate one from the other. Another great write Tinka from the master of heart strings.

Ahh the conflict between the mind and the heart...it is always a push, neither one ever truly wins. Good writing, Tinka.
Take care,
