The sky is on fire tonight Irregularly streaked with molten iron And not done yet My search brought me to this old place
Gazing at horizon afar And in spirit I dig deep into the past Within my imagination I am with other people Other people who also dream of hope And about love… peace for every one But my search does not bring me anything And I remain part of this… Because in scripture and tradition… In every old language… There were tears and unhappiness Like in every other story’ told There are voices rising… As if I can still hear them… Of people that long for freedom and love Because the yearning for blitheness and joy We will never let go of… And through nebulosity of time We will always hear another song… O’ as there are voices echoing like a choir With joy we will reach for our dreams For the love within we will reach out And try to catch that dream Our dream!!
A dream we all share in. Thanks for this uplifting write. Wish I knew how to put music with my poems. Will have to check it out. Your music is always an added attraction to your wonderful poetry.
Ahhh Tinka what would our lifes be without the ability and desire to dream. You and I are born dreamers as are many of our fellow writers here in our extended family...dreams are the heart of a poets life.
Great write Tink,
