Beaten on the inside leaving scars
With your eyes never seen
Cruel words keep ringing in my ears
No matter how hard I try, I never measure up
But I still struggle to please you
You led me on, made me believe that you loved me
Just to laugh and knock me down again and again
You may have walked out on my life, as far you can tell
But you left your mark, deep, burning scars that will always stay

Hiding My Scars
You wouldn’t understand
So I feel that I must hide
My past that made me
Who I am today
You don’t see my battle
So often to stay calm
When you simply touch
Me with your palm
I know you don’t mean it
When you do things that
Remind me of the one that
hurt me
I put these two poems on the same page because Hiding My Scars is a continuation of Hidden Scars
Please tell me what you think of both of them

Telling people about what happends is very brave and powerful. It shows that even though people have scars and hide them for sometimes, they could make it and win the battle.
A page-turning novel about a relationship between best friends that is interrupted because of betrayal , deceit, sexual promiscuity and pregnancy happens!
God Bless and stay strong

I'm not the best speller, but for the poetry, you did a fine job Sarah!
