Dedicated to my horse Danny, who died one month ago today
I Close My Eyes By: Sarah Tagert I close my eyes and I see you Standing in the pasture, perfectly still, save your mane and tail blowing in the breeze I close my eyes and you and I are riding down the trail, wind in our hair I close my eyes and I smell your scent Sweat, salty and tart I close my eyes, and my mind runs it's fingers through your mane, down your neck, and over your back I close my eyes, and you are alive again, In my heart and mind In memory of my horse, Danny, who died on June.4.2003
