In the darkness
Of a stormy night
With my eyes closed
I saw lightning flash
Heard the rolling thunder
As I listened
To the rain drops
Pelting the window
Above the humming
Of a ceiling fan.

Cleaning up after me
How dare you?
Intrude in my dream
I said to him
You see
Of him, I have no fear
I've recognized him
As my partner, who past away
Ago, twenty years.

Brought with him, no fear
He stayed a while
We enjoyed our dream
Spending some time
Easing the pain
I have felt in my mind
By the time he was gone
My dream, was no more
