Walking Alone
On this beautiful
Clear summer day
The sun to my back
My shadow in front is long.

My mind is clear
Only the gentle songs
Of the Mockingbirds
I hear
Soothing my soul
As I Walk Alone.
Like a ritual
On these walks of mine
I arrive at a destination
Daily
Approximately, the same time.

I love the sensation
Of the soft breeze
Caressing my face
Over taking the warmth
Of the sun's rays
Along this place.
I looked at my long shadow
Ahead of me
A strange event occurred
Another shadow
Over took me.

Bearing forth great fear
Chills and cold sweat
Seemed like a life time
In reality
Only ten minutes passed.
Feeling down and out
From this macabre event
I returned home
Quite Exhausted.

I fell asleep, a late nap
Woke to the late news
Takling about an accident
That occurred
At the time and location
I usually terminate
My daily Walks.
I thought, I Walked Alone.

We never walk alone if we ask for the company of angels. Your piece says so much about the mystery of timing.
