A Young man asked
One day
How you doing pop?
At a Rest Stop
Along a Lost Highway.

OK I Supposed,
I replied
Where are you heading to Pop?
The quisitive lad asked.

He was not a hitch hiker
Just a pleasent fellow
Making conversation
Me?

I am heading
Towards the light
At the other end
Of the tunnell.

You see, I replied
Where I come from
A long time ago
Was darkness
Before, my three years,
of age
There was nothing.

Now that I've learned
Human possess souls
I wonder if mine
Will be allowed
To finish the journey
Through the tunnell?

Awarded
would be, the light of truth
The young man
Whispered, Fear not
For at the end
I'll be, to greet you
He said, patting me on my back.

He walked away
Not realizing, what he said
I immidiately, turned
Looking for him.

I only saw
Golden sparkles
fading in thin air
As if no one was really there.

Oh, I love this! Great ending. Reminds me of when my husband and I were visited by an angel. He helped us out and then vanished into thin air.

Ishhhh....this goes deep...and I think a thingy of mine own will just
make this a good "Collab" if I may!!

“Angel Of Mine”

Through her garden she walked alone
Arms embracing her bosom in shame
Then he came with white lilies in his hand
She looked at him shy embarrassed in pain
Locked up within herself filled with fear
His eyes holding her captive
His wings covered the whole garden
Blessed you are woman
His words came like a breeze
Or was that the wind
He has disappeared in golden flight
She kneeled down and started to cry
Soft tears runs down her cheeks
He heard her cry but did not return
Because these were tears of freedom
Not from fear anymore
He’s with me… maybe not in person
But in spirit I know that
Angel of mine!!

Love Tinka

William,
Oh he was there alright, no doubt about it. He is always there.
A well penned simple but not so simple write.

a very interesting scenario ... sometimes our inspiration and insight comes from beyond ourselves ... i like how you've expressed that in this poem ...
