You torment my dreams
With the loveliness of your songs
Penetrating
My mind and destroying
My soul and sanity.

So, you have done
In legends of the sea
Appearing in the silence
Of warm quiet nights
In still waters
Before the escape of the horn.

Singing soft deadly songs
To sailors
Caught within, raging storms
As they round the immortal seas
Of a continent's Horn.

Searching
For those wanting moments
Of sensuous touches
The siren's promised them
In deadly songs
Carried by the wind.

For it will be the last
Sailors will hear
As the raging seas
swallow their wrecking ships.

Into the vortex
Of demons
Within the aquatic realm
Of Poseidon's own.

A well penned poem about the siren that is very descriptive of that age old lure of the sea.
