Can You See And Still Be Blind?

Can you see
As I Can?
I see clear, like all the colors
Of the spectrum
I've seen the light
At the end of a tunnel, once
The light of truth
That dwells within my heart.

Can you hear that?
Warnings and heedings
Of the coming, doom of men
As hell and brimstone
Preachers may yell
To their congregations
Or do you hear
The soft voices
Of serene righteousness
Of the un-alarmed, unafraid
Or of the unknown approaching
In the still
Of an uncertain night?

Did they listen to that wild man
Crying in the wilderness
Dressed in camel's hair
and leather girdle to cover his loins?
He who Baptized
Was clearing the way
For the One
He was not worthy
To unloosen his sandals
Even then they were blind
To the truth
For he that arrived after
Made the blind see
And the deaf hear.

absolutely so much truth here, yes, we can see,but sometimes we choose to be blind and ignore,,and for that my dear Sir,,many have paid the price,,a very high price,,,what is a shame it is when someone snows us and we don't see until it's to later, then we are left to pick up the pieces if we are able to,,,sometimes it's best if just start a new path of our journey and chalk it up to whatever we feel best,,,

I wonder if it is blindness or convenience, Bill. It is easy to say we don't believe so that we can live our life with no restrictions or moral responsibilities. In the end, judgement will befall each of us and I am hoping that I will have clear and decent answers.
Take care,
Sherry

I fear many are still blind after all this time, William. A very powerful piece, my friend.

Sage and superb write, William! In our current material-crazed, gluttonous society, the Truth can be difficult to embrace--much less See and Hear!
Peace and Blessings,

Bill,

The title drew me in, as well as your stunning, thought provoking words. YES, too many are blinded to the Truth. Thank you for this one!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

So plumb and brilliantly done.
We have no need to fear!
Fear is the devils game.
Long may you see!

Amen! Excellent write William! Amazing how many can see but are blind, and can hear but are deaf. Oh that the obstacles be removed!
Write on....
