As I was driving
One beautiful Saturday morning
Through
The Georgia countryside
I saw a rider
From the corner of my eyes
He rode an Indian Pony
Faster than the wind
While
Cruising by Cherokee County's
Cherokee Drive Road.
My eyes seemed
To be playing games
With me
As I glanced towards
My left
What I saw was a grouping
Of bushes and trees
That quickly resembled
A rider, riding an Indian pony
Riding fast into the wind.
You saw the spirit wind William. Not many are afforded this glimpse either. I'm happy that you captured it in verse. I've seen it in the foothoills of the Appalachians too.
