She's An Island, Of Her Own

The gentle waves
Surrender to sandy shores
As the Mockingbird sings
Their lovely songs
Like never before
So is She An Island
Of Her Own.

The day is only as long
As the night, allows it to be
The sunrises, the sunsets
It is the wind that passes,
The sea
Will always remain
Undisturb by those who challenges
Her might
So is She An Island
Of Her Own.

Seagulls soar majestically
Riding thermals to nowhere
They descend in dives
Into the sea
To feed upon their prey
So is She An Island
Of Her Own.

A song is written
With lovely melodies
Secret lyrics hidden
As you attempt to decipher
Messages from conundrums
So is She An Island
Of Her Own.

Somehow, this created an angst within my soul, William. So, your poem is obviously very effective. Thank you for sharing it. Love and peace to you,

Wow i must say that this is another well written poem for my ears and eyes to see. You have so much remarkable talent that it is blinding me. This is well written without a doubt. I feel like this island that you have written about.

Good question: To be an "Island of her own", would oftimes be peaceful; but such solitary would be too mundane. Gentle, thoughtful poem, William.

A philosophical question juxtaposed with nature and artistic talent. Smoothly flowing creativity here William. Nice!
