The beauty of my sunrise
Rest upon your shoulders
The sweetness of honey
Laces the lusciousness
Of tantalizing lips
Your whispers in the night
Awaken my dormant soul
Warms my heart
Your voice echoes
Through the corridors
Of my mind
With verses yet born
To poetry
Your tender embrace
Secures me
From frightening shadows
Lurking in the darkness
Of dreams.
