I ask Questions

As to

The who, what, when, where and why

The image before me

In the mirror answers none

Why do I fear the future?

How long am I to be?

What than?

When will this that surround me ends.?

Will it all be dark

Thoughts of the me now

Without any memory

Of the use to be.

Prior to my abrupt extraction

From the sereneness

That surrounded me within

A floating sanctuary

In my mother’s womb.

I remember nothing

There was a serene Darkness

Benign, not evil

Now that I experience

All that was laid before me.

My mental blank slate filled

With truth lies and corruption

Knowledge and wisdom

Where am I heading to.

These thoughts are sailing

Through my mind

As I find myself walking

A straight line

Through a darken tunnel

With the “True Light” of knowledge

At it’s end.

Just a few Unanswered Questions

I’ve never asked before

Now that time is fading

I am left alone

Wondering why.

A deep meditation, William, We all have those, I think, but I could never express mine as elegantly and as deeply as this. You who bring such joy, will have yours one day.

I think ....... life is to short to contemplate the 'what ifs.' Still to ignore them is just plain foolishness. Yet, each in moderation is what floats my boat -- well, most of the time. Sometimes, I sink and other times I go no where.

God bless you. Kathy

As the life sands of our hourglass slowly begin to run out, we question our life and choices, did we choose wisely? Every past step lead to here and now, we will either find regret or joy in that fact, hopefully you will find joy. HUGS! SC

you know William.... if we knew all the answers it could simply be "too easy"... which is why we will ask...search....and hopefully "find" some of the answers along the path... Happy hunting...and til then... enjoy the ride... sometimes I think "some of us" ask too many questions!!! (I have to admit to that one!!!) hugs and well wishes...good writing. lindalaw

William, This poem has me worried...you must be in deep thought. I feel an energy that I have not felt before. You must shake out of this slump you are in. There is so much to do, and see and life to live. This poem is written with an appeal toward my inner most soul. I am you dearest friend, you must strive for peace and light to come to you, now shake yourself off and get going...that's an order!
I am sending you healing waves of peace, love, and light,

I think it's normal to be scared at times. If we wouldn't be scared, wouldn't we be just too arrogant to be diserving of life?
Great thoughts, Will. Hope you're doing good!
Love,
Becca~

Unanswered Questions - I think we all have them, and the older I get, the more I seem to ask them. But sometimes I also wonder if we're better off not knowing.

I think we all have been where you are at some point in our lives...and perhaps with age, these questions come at us more often than in the past. I think, although at times it would be nice to know the answers...life can be so much more worthwhile and fun living in the moment...taking each day as it comes...something that I've learned to do with age. Beautiful, self searching write.

This does not need to be rated PG-13, Bill, for it is a pure and clean set of queries. We've all asked those questions and the mirror has never offered any clues. But, what would happen if, in a mind-expanding epiphany, we suddenly KNEW all that was to come? Would we really want that? Part of the anticipation of tomorrow is that it may bring a surprise; that tomorrow may unfold and bring me a bright and wonderful new memory. If tomorrow was a known and pre-scheduled event, I might not bother to wake up in the morning. Perhaps it is better if we DON'T know all those answers, after all.

Ted
