The Other Was Innocent

Death sentenced

Of three men

Was carried out

On that memorable day.

 

Two were convicted

Criminals

The other was innocent.

 

 

One was humble

One had

A harden heart of stone

Brazen to the bone

The other was innocent.

 

 

The humble spoke lovingly

Of the innocent prisoner

Defending

His character.

 

 

The Brazen

Dared and mocked

The innocent

To save himself and them

From certain death.

 

 

The innocent

Prayed

For that day was

His destiny.

 

 

 That day arrived

All three men died

The humble

Was promised paradise

He went to heaven.

 

The Brazen eyes

Were devoured

By the waiting Ravens

Before his harden heart

Stopped silent.

 

 

The innocent

Was descended into hell

On the third day

He resurrected.

From the Golgotha descended the inspiration for this most well compose poem, with few words and yet described over two thousand years of Innocence, Humility and Skepticism.
