A Tear escapes
~*~
 
Your words I read no more
You voice escapes me
My thoughts of you are diminishing
Yet my mind is still tormented
By every image branded
Within the deep crevasses
Of my most value thoughts
Of every great moment we shared.
 
At this moment a tear resides
At the edge of my misery
Wondering its destination
Waiting its turn,
To flow down her infinite journey
As it carries your name in vain.
 
My heart aches as never before
It no longer skips
That sweet beat of passion
When you entered my thoughts
It eases the injury
Of a passion lost.
