She Confessed

LET THE METAPHORS FLY

~~~*~~~

 

A sensuous stirring

Within her

Merely by thoughts

Of his conversation.

 

 

She whispered

With a soft

Incoherent

Trembling voice

In the heat

Of a passionate

Summer night.

 

 

You

She confessed

Are to blame

For these blissful

moments

Causing heavenly

Nectars

Of the gods

To gently flow.

 

 

Honored

He bowed his head

In silence

His lips unable

To formulate words

Were left speechless

With a craving

 

To taste

The sweet dew

lacing the blooming

Rosebud before him.
