"Of hidden loneliness"......It's too bad that so many people hide their lonliness and try to fill that "hole" with substances, food, shopping, gambling, etc.. So sad that he suffered in silence. This is a fine poem which brings about conscious awareness.
To me your last line says he can take a pill and die & be done with human coil onto and out of that cell called life...I may be wrong, but still I like this one, Bill, over and above your romantic writes...-e- (sorry, guess I am not a romanticist)
