Is There A Tomorrow?
~~~~~~*~~~~~~
The day was hot sweltering
Muggy and oppressive
As the evening approached
I find myself relaxing
In my garden
Enjoying a cup
Of coffee
Inhaling
the same air
I now share
With a full moon.
A gentle breeze
Caresses my face
The scent of expectation
Of what an approaching
New day bears
Is in the air.
Only I’m unable
To embrace such moment
For until my sunrise
I’ll witness a new day
Or is it
That once upon a time
Tomorrow.
The morrow of thy poem, leaves a page reflecting back ward, into the past, turning yesterday onto the day before, before that. Where upon Bonilla dawning light - Poet Tree branches another page.
Enjoyed the reflection.
I love the expectation of a new sunrise or the coming of spring. You can sense it in the air. A beautiful poem.
it is amazingly uneasy to embrace what is just in front of you, no matter how much you feel it with your whole heart. . . You did it throughout tomorrow, William. Cheers, alex
