Wandering Into The Wilderness

I Wandered Into The Wilderness,
Lost, I found myself,
Searching within, my heart and soul,
Looking for direction.

A hill crest I climbed
Forward I went, without looking behind,
When I Reached my goal,
All was worth my time.

Beneath my feet I saw,
A paradise, A fertile valley,
With fields of green glovers,
An emarald river running through.

With loops, turns and bends,
Fast rapids, rushing down hill,
My eyes were blest,
With the vista, before me.

My heart, elated with loving songs,
My soul hungry, for the love beneath,
To be found,
My starved mind, seeking wisdom.

I found myself, lost in the wilderness,
Reciting words and songs,
Into the wind,
My thoughts, were of my loving home.

But fell they did,
On questionable ears,
Ears without Knowledge,
Ears without souls.

The beauty, I saw before me,
Was but an illusion,
Reality was despair,
With my words, scattered in the wind,
None, down the valley cared.

The river waters,
Were not, really there,
When I saw the truth, it was cracked,
Like the dry river beds below,
And the scorched fields of whatever.

This was so sad and lovely, That last stanza:

The river waters,
Were not, really there,
When I saw the truth, it was cracked,
Like the dry river beds below,
And the scorched fields of whatever

Just touched me deeply,
so very moving,
