I don't want to be remembered
As a rose
Within a picture card
And a prayer in the reverse side
As I repose, in finality
But thats how it goes
Remember me
As a father, a lover, a brother,
At least as a friend
Whom after all these years
Has met, his untimely end
When you come, to pay your respects,
At my wake
To view, my remains, cold carcass
Or whatever I used to be
Don't come to say lame cliches
I hated so much,
Even in the old days
Please, don't yell
Any of the obscenities
I've heard all my life

If I am, as dead
As Jacob Marley
Dead As a door nail
I don't ask, for much
After I am, no longer

A loving memory
Within you
where we can be together

What is nice to have is people saying what they remember of you and the best memory they have of you. One by one they say what is on their minds about you. I have experienced this at several of the ones I went to view.
"Loving Memories" is what You have etched in ou hearts already... "Loving Memories" while You live.
And this Poem, "Loving Memories" is an striking one. I have enjoyed the reading of "Loving Memories".
