Godiva Chocolate We were there when God created Eve from Adam’s rib. We discovered the power of fire, and made the days warm. We were there when Jesus turned water into wine, We come from the kente cloth of Ghana. We come from the Maasai warriors of Kenya. We come from the Mayan Indians of South America. We come from the gold, filled rivers That flow through all of Africa, We made the ivory famous on the Ivory Coast We are the prince, and princess from Persia. We are descendants of the pyramid-makers in Egypt. We are descendants of the peanut butter-maker, George Washington Carver. We are descendants of the blood bank-maker, Dr. Charles Drew. We are descendants of the female millionaire-maker, Madame C J Walker. We share a heritage with the hotel-filled cities of Nairobi, Accra, Cape Town, Lagos and Soweto, Victoria, Dunn’s River, and Niagara Falls. Indian Ocean, Atlantic ocean, Baltic Sea.
