I went grocery shopping at WalMart
Much to my own chagrin
I bought stuff that I needed this minute
Then while standing in line met a friend
It came up my leg in a second
Scooted right under my skirt
Around my waste he did travel
Then ducked up under my shirt
He peeked from under my clevage
His snout was furry and fun
He was ready to travel these smaller alps
And decided that he wouldn't run
He was after the gouda I prized for myself
Then let out a wee little sneeze
His whiskers tickled my fancy
I almost went to my knees
I checked out smiling like crazy
While the cashier was giggling a fit
She looked like a mad scientist all crazy
Then reached for a broom to hit
She whished and swooshed like a turbine
Then let out a huge frightening sneeze
I saved a mouse named Wally
Then he and I went home with our cheese.
You rocked the challenge with this clever cutie Susan...not to mention the well crafted rhyme and meter. You set a pretty high standard. Gouda one!
