I'm tired/spent and my Muse is too. We decided to go for an older poem that the readers really liked. Everybody can identify with youthful passions.

Poem Artwork

The first of passions with a faceless memory and the youthful lessons of a nubile girl.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Midnight's dark moon aflow on the waves
Innocence calling- "try to behave"
Silhouettes bond on beaches’ white sands
Walking embraced... hands gripping hands
Thoughts all together, a sameness festooned
Hearts raw and beating under this moon
Louder the silence of midnight forsakes
Two lover's passion... pushing their brakes
Each step of innocence comes a new dare
Caressing this mystery and pleasuring cares
Reaching for something , risking their ruin
Touching the rhythm of their own wrong-doing
Collapsing on sand dunes...legs weaving slow
Bathed in the moonlight's phosphorous glow
Body's heaving with each rushing wave
It's too late now as nothing behaves
Moisture is beading as energies fly
Arching to arches...moans meeting sighs
Thunderous lightening with no storm in sight
A dance with the devil in the pale moonlight.

...looks like a sofa...and the sands of time...have taken preference to a roll in the hay...in this write Susan. And yes...Karla's words of Mr. Hippo...have rejuvenated the ink in many a pen below...in a most peculiar way.
this is a great write Susan...

I'm not one to go one about "the good ole days," but. . .good ole nights, now...;) Almost feel your pulse. . .throb elsewhere. . .feels gooooooooooood. Really, this is great! And you chose the perfect way to illustrate the, er, ah, piece. If those are your legs, whoop-de-doo! (Revisit Karla's jungle comment - LOL.)

Whoa Susan...this is passionately hot as only young lovers who are hubgry with hot sap running in their veins can be. Time may slow the sap down after many years but not the memory of what it was like to be young and walk on the beach with someone of the opposite sex...very nice indeed.
