It would take more than all winds combined
Tornadoes, hurricanes, all with a fierce whine
Still nothing could dry the tears hung out
For sadness engulfed in tears, I shout!
Why are you gone? Why not take me?
Now I'm alone embraced in this sea
Of sadness, despair...pity this fool,
Terrified of being, just being...a tool.
Of lonliness now, no smiles to turn
The corners up, a kiss to burn
A tatoo of hope inside of these walls
Empty this gloom, hollow these halls
As shadows of fog, broken with grays
No light to shine...gone are the days
The hope that has flown with wings in a sling
For ghosts are alone, love's kiss...a sting,
It bites to the bone, this pain never pales
It soars with the moans then whispy it sails
Future, a question...Nothing to greet
Lonely souls sigh as hearts miss a beat
Chins dripping salt, liquids in pounds
Crying and streaming to pool on the ground
For now you have vanished and I am alone
Flown with the wind, hearts turned to stone
Tears of hot moisture, burning the flesh
No tokens of love left here to mesh.
Some recall of happiness...Jesus this pain
Marrying my tears in torrents it rains
Waiting for grace, praying I cry
Redeem all my tears and help them to dry.
You Dear Heart, are a strong woman who has known pain. You have slept with it and risen with it and conquered it more than once. This is a powerful soulful gutsy write. I applaud your giftedness.
The feeling of doom and gloom. A sad but true emotion that most of us, I'm sure, have been through. Well said Sue. Thank you for this write and God bless.
Hopefully all that will be remembered here is the writing skills.~. evol smaerd _ Ted

And then ... and then ... the sun came shining through a splendid rainbow ... and all was well again. This is such an achy-breaky poem, Susan, but we will all live happily ever after. Tis true!
oh my I feel like the flood will overtake me like an immense cloud filled with sorrow ready to burst! Hope it's just a poem Susan. Fantastic writing!...
...wishing you all the sunlight...to dry the pain...of tears...of outbreaks...with a burning reminder...that yet ahead is the shedding of darkness...to find comfort in happiness again...
well wishes for you Susan...

The poem just flows and grabs. For continued shingles--antivirals per doctor and may have to be repeated. I've had shingles and had a hard time getting rid of them. It took 3 courses of antivirals before they were gone. God bless everyone who gets shingles. Great write. Liz
(((gentle HUGS))) I've heard the pain from shingles is the worst. I'm so sorry - you are in my prayers. Know what it's like to live with chronic pain - have it 24/7 in back, neck, add arthritis and fibro to the mix ... good thing I'm not a horse, they'd shoot me! Hope you get to feeling better - this a StormSpinner write if ever was one. Well done.

My wife said for me to prepare you with the cold hard facts that even after you are "cured" of the shingles the places will always hurt and bother you. It has been years since she had them and they continue o bother her . . . Of course not like when they were really bad, but still they bother her . . . The poem said it all . . .
A page-turning novel about a relationship between best friends that is interrupted because of betrayal , deceit, sexual promiscuity and pregnancy happens!
