What do folks do with the words I love you
Does the whisper in ears...give solace to few
What does it take when rhythms run wild
With beats of the heart and the smile of a child
The sentence of lovers to the future of holds
For caresses of minutes and gestures so bold
I love you...is it true ...a warm promise at best
The soul of a chance with the touch of a test
What fate is aroused when these words break air
Will you fly with the storks or sail as a pair
Doves of all lovers lost in the clouds
Cooing and winging...singing aloud
Chasing the heart...with blossoms of roses
Sparkle of eyes and kisses on noses
Chins all uplifted to embrace the kiss
His love is hers and her heart is his
Butterfly kisses and fingers entwined
Grace of a pair with hearts all refined
Smiles breaking faces and gentle warm hugs
Hearts all crimson with pushes and shoves
Lovers of shadows and warm southern breezes
Quiet forms of sweethearts with tugs and soft squeezes
Lightning displays when evenings bring comets
Flashing emotion from the ground to the summit
Love held on high with the greatest of ease
I love you is whispered on this southern breeze
The pair of shapes...all merged in time
Lovers who love...with their love refined.
