Poem Artwork

 Too many folks have passed...
                         I have long been here,
                        Upon his ancient shore,
                        Waiting to be near,
                        Those who are not anymore.
                        And yet the world threatens,
                        Those still dear to me,
                        And  in it's coldness detains,
                        Those who should be free.
Each day I pray to release her from this threat,
To be able to live her life she dreamed of,
'Fore this pall was cruelly set,
And be it the loving Dove,
                        I will ne'er regret.
Do not torture this lady dear,
                        Let her dreams carry on,
This cancer ne'er to hug her near,
Give her the strength of Avalon,
And time to be upon her side,
                        For hopelessly am I entwined,
With all that happens here abide,
And only thought so very kind,
To pray her self be well,
And soft within my aging mind,
Release her from this unfair hell...
