A fictional poem of evil, deceit, and survival.

Poem Artwork

It all started in the garden of Eden,
mean old devil interceding.
Eve infatuated by the apple,
same red delicious in todays Snapple.
Drink up ussy and pene,
or bite the red delicious genie.

Make a wish get out of the water fish,
Jesus still fed the masses
fulfilled God's wish.
All down through the ages,
most of the monkey's have been
kept in cages.
Monkey's still have hair,
man smoothed down
look at the monkey stare,
so goes our sin against God,
who's really the animal the man
or the monkey with hair?

Woman has stood beside her ape,
still there are plenty of apple trees
planted on the landscape.
American as apple pie eating,
apples were involved in
woman and man's first meeting.
Ussy and pene
continue on self defeating,
will until the final deleting.

I guess the Holy book tells us there will be wars and rumors of wars. Still, we have to hope. Well penned. R

I really enjoyed your poem. As you said "who's really the animal the man or the monkey with hair?" We have so many gifts to share, yet man goes on killing each other instead of sharing.
