Marriage vows
for better or worse
for some it should have been
for better then when worse
comes I'm leaving
no use deceiving
make the vows
more believing
My vows were
for worse and I hope it
gets better
and it did
cause I didn't lose
my head
Almost did
but I remembered the
vows I said
I made no dumb stupid
proposes
but I did buy some roses
still buying roses
facing up to that worse stage
as life flips the good page
i enjoyed this--i just heard a woman say, as her elderly husband was recovering from surgery, that she hadn't signed up to be a nursemaid--i was alarmed and thought, oh, yes, you said better or worse....good write!
