While others want only to praise the sun,
I want to see the beauty in a rainy day
and realize the magnificent power of a God
who created both the sun and the rain.

While others want only to live life full of smiles,
I want to see the beauty in sadness and pain
so I will know that even while I cry,
God is sending me someone to wipe away my tears.

While others want only to see success,
I want to see the beauty in hard work and sacrifice
so that I will be prepared for the day
when God shows me success.

I want to see the beauty in the worst things,
for it is only through this seeing that my eyes
will be opened to the fullness and beauty
of all the best God has when he finally reveals it to me.
