              Lucky~Boo~Scardy Cat

            Halloween Night Eve
            celestial orange moon
            three blackest of cats
            one with a hat
            intently impish
            none too close

            Two black cats
            climbing up the tree
            jumping on the witches
            broom off into the
            stary night   wee!

            Halloween ghosts and
            goblins  eek!!
            Owl wide green eyed
            seen through your
            frosted window with a
            Hoo`a!  Hoo`a
            Hoo`a!  Hoo`a
            Hooooooo!!

            Orange 'n black sacks
            children dressed in
            costumes to their
            playful images to
                                what goes  Boo!

            Blackets of cats three
            we watch for your
            sillhouettes as
            orange celestial moon
            appears this
            Halloween night

            One black cat under
            his hat!   Boo!

So cute! I love the innocent side of halloween, but not the ghoulish, blood-smeared costumes or horror shows.
It should be fun for kids, but always light!

This is a GREAT poetic reminder of the joys of my childhood during the winter Holidays. We used to ick the season off with a home made "House of Horrors" that was scarier than the amusement parks for sure. Then it was trick or treating contest to see who can get the most junk food (candy). Christmas was filled with stories of Santa and how he arrived in an apartment that did not have a fireplace. Today we look towards Jesus and he brings us incredible gifts. One gift he brought me is the gift communicating with folks like you Mary Ann. Merry Christmas and may this New Year be better than ever! Amen!
