Some people do not understand the language of their pets and unfortunately mistreat them.
From afar I heard your approaching footsteps The sound got thicker as you came closer So did my heart which beat simulataneously As you fetched your keys to open the door I kept on watching at you through the window I flashed out a smile to offer you a piece of joy And up in the misty air I found myself jumping Landing madly upon your flat hairy chest I felt like not getting the warm touch I longed for I am your little Farida, your house pet Your funny little cat you brought in here Don't I deserve a kiss? �

Such a sweet poem, Abdi Noor. Our pets do all that they can to please us and to bring joy and light into our lives; they deserve a little of our attention, also.

What a beautiful little piece and the animal lovers among us can truly relate as most ofour pets want a kiss whether two legged or four. (pun intended) But they can't kiss me I don't play that. I know all they want is love but I draw the line at kissing the frog.
