Poem Artwork

When I look at close-up images of galaxies,

(No that can’t be right they must be cropped images

magnified of a single galaxy)

or a picture of a chunk of space teaming with many galaxies

within a narrow field of vision,

I get goosebumps.

You know what pictures I’m talking about.

Like the ones from the Hubble Space telescope.

I just shiver with excitement when I see those images

pondering the possibilities

filled with inescapable awe

mesmerized by its beauty and expansiveness.

I know I will never, ever know the answers

to my bazillion questions, thoughts, ideas, dreams, fantasies, beliefs and disbeliefs.

As I look at those images I just get lost in its beauty.

Look for yourself,

and ask with the wonderment of a child,

what is life like there?

You know, out there,

everywhere,

in all those places that are far far away,

but not here

that are teaming with life.

Millions, trillions, zillions of places where life exists.

All out there,

trapped in starlight.

Nothing like looking up into the night with my telescope. The more you see the more there is to see. Endless beauty.

Great write, Sarah. I remember every single night I gave myself to to watch the stars, reminfing myself of the ridiculous nature of my own 'individual' existence. Love. Franz

Getting lost in the beauty, as you say, keeps the child in us alive.
Therefore, we are never really "trapped."

blessin's Sara C.
Keep writing from your heart.

Darwin's Blind Spot by Frank Ryan

The symbiotic pattern of evolution is everywhere and allows us a very different and fascinating window into the way symbiotic viruses work, since all viruses are symbiotic, including those involved in our human reproduction.

Virus X by Frank Ryan

Where do viruses, such as Ebola and HIV, come from and why they are so aggressive? This book changed tenets of evolutionary virology, developing the concepts of aggressive symbiosis and plague culling, which explain much of the horror of plague virus
