Imagine an ant one day decides it is not going to go work for the colony, but work for itself. What would be the outcome of such a decision?
How did we come to this? To the point where only one of us loves the other. Where only one of us cares to even know why?
How did I lose the fight to endlessly be loved, honored and respected by you?
How long can I pretend I don’t know the reasons why? Knowing my cute American smile has lost itself in tears that never wash away.
How long before I know it was never me whose heart was nestled into yours? It was never me whose love you declared to in the present and with an affirmative.
How long before I know it is your love and my tomorrows that have ended because of both of our yesterdays?
The ant maybe unwell due to a magnifying glass...
And this poem screams even more pain.
Gotta take controll and move with the clock, onwards always onwards
This is verse and meter that grabs the reader and wrestles the question to the mat. Gripping and compelling in posing an unanswerable question. Excellent work, dear friend.
