So Alone

Eight days, seven nights
Two trade shows
Back to back
Chicago, Illinois
The Windy City
Husband always there
Day and night
Night and day
Working side by side
Sleeping side by side
Eating side by side
Every moment
Side by side
24 hours a day
Eight days
Seven nights
Not one fight
Just doing our job
Doing our marriage thing
Something must be wrong
We don’t normally get along
Last hour of the trip
Just below the surface
Body started to shake
Tears started flowing
Hysteria settled in
Sadness finally clawed its way out
A wealth of emotions
That damn reality
Stupid useless fantasy
Misplaced love for another man
Bubbled forth
Fomenting temptation
Into my imagination
Desires lonesome ache
Forsaken across the miles
Time to cry
To be alone
So alone
Just lone…
Some
Me

Hey everybody, sorry I haven't been around to read all that has been written. I will try to catch up. All I can do is try.

This was very touching. "Misplaced love for another man". But, as somebody told me and I wrote in one of my poems.....true feelings die hard,
they never really vanish,
just get misplaced or misused.
Maybe that helps?!?!
