This is for Krissy and Thomas. Thank you for caring for me. And Nico, thank you for always giving me strength.

Strength…
That’s what I need
Yes strength,
More and more strength
The strength to be honest with no one but me
The strength to not care about whether I dare
The strength to walk away
The strength to just play
The strength to let go
Of my need for more strength
I need strength to fight tears
No I need strength to let them flow
I need strength
So much strength
Always more and more strength
I need strength to wake up
I need strength to go to sleep
I need strength to always be there
I need strength to always care
I need strength for the weak
I need strength to stop being meek
I need strength for everyone
Who are always coming undone
I need strength to not beg
I need strength to not need
I need strength to accept
Those things I can’t accept
I need strength
So much strength
Yes strength is what I need
I need more and more strength
For strength is all I need
Strength is what I am
Strength is what you see
Only strength doesn’t cry
Strength doesn’t bleed
So I am strength in your mind
I am strength on your screen
I am strength to all
To all who live in a dream
I am strength of a river
I am a river without a creek
I am strength
Yes the strength
Who feels lost and so weak

i'm always a freaking day late and a dollar short!
i am sooo sooo sorry for not commenting before this. you must think i am awful.
strength is a characteristic that i believe we all have...some use it to be overbearing and arrogant (that becomes their weakness). some utilise their strength to shield themselves from pain. ( and hurt themselves from the growth that pain can render, by never taking a chance.)
then there are those that do not recognise their strength, because they are so busy struggling day to day to get by. and they are the strongest of all...every day they survive, to make it through another day. humble in their attempts to see past themselves and recognise the virtue in others. you are of that strength. you're a survivor.
i will share my motto with you...because i know that you will not only understand it, but appreciate it's value: never underestimate kindness for weakness, for the greatest strength is displayed in the giving...not in the taking.
you are a wonderful, kind and loving woman.
and i am proud to call you my friend.
hugs and love
krissy

You already got that strength inside of you Sara. There are just days that you cannot feel it. But it is there. I told you before.
Thank you so much for this sentence. You made me cry....tears of happiness though

"The strength to let go
Of my need for more strength" ---This line is so you. These are the types of things that make your work YOUR work, YOUR STYLE, YOUR writings. I love that. Makes you one of a kind. I know all about big girls with strong minds snd strong jobs and strong this and that ... I heard they were not supposed to cry as well. I don't think that's true. They just don't want to feel your pain when you do. It then makes you question how strong and true of a person they are to you...be it your parent, friend or foe. People that love and care say "Here is my shoulder, let it go, cry it out." But, while alone, I think every woman "ball breaker" cries. I know, cause I do. BUT don't tell anyone I said that! ;)

Very moving piece-touched me.

Thanks,
Emilie
