Words gather round my head Looking for a pattern of which to thread
Some are blue prints of love so true Foundations erected in homage of you
Others are nightmares that make every girl cry Wishing life’s fate just once would cease to comply
So words come…gather up my dreams And splatter them across today’s computer screens
Write a poem for those who look at me Telling them of our friend Serenety
She is very ill and fighting for life The doctors have ripped her up with a knife
Her days are spent weak and confused As she tries to run from Cancers abuse
If you are feeling as helpless as I am Then hope for remission on her next exam
Send her a note wishing her well And may the power of friendship cast a curing spell.
* I am posting this with Serenety’s permission. If you decide to contact her please remember that she is very sick and may not be able to reply for a long time. Which is something I need to remind myself of as well.
