Woolly caterpillar
crawling, eating dust, dirt …
cocooned … a worm no more.
He chooses to fly by—
remembering before …
squished others’ on the floor.
Is it wings we adore?
Metamorphosis, changed,
with innocence galore.
Oh, how that worm can soar!

seeing forevermore.
No time to waste, to bore,
death waits at the nights’ door.
