I have been dreaming
Of sequin jackets
And leather boots hand-stitched for me
Ten-gallon hats, crinoline skirts
A denim vest with my name on the pocket
And fans screaming out in glee
See their feet a stomping
The music a throbbing
In perfect harmony
A singer coos a cute 'done me wrong' song
As I hum along
In my dreams
I have been dreaming
Of hearing my songs
Wailed out so sad and mournfully
Tears a falling, hearts full of mis'ry
Then everyone carves my name on their locket
And folks think the world of me
See their feet a stomping
The music a throbbing
In perfect harmony
A singer coos a cute 'done me wrong' song
As I hum along
In my dreams
I have been dreaming
Of sequin jackets
And leather boots hand-stitched for me
Ten-gallon hats, crinoline skirts
And denim vests with my name on the pocket
And fans screaming out in glee
See their feet a stomping
The music a throbbing
In perfect harmony
A singer coos a cute 'done me wrong' song
As I hum along
. . . in my dreams
