Did you smile as you caught a ray?

The stars still shine
but the sky’s light
hides them till night alights.

Have you ever seen dark skies on a cloudless day?
Did you fear the storm, run away?
It whispered cool
but fanned us hot
and swallowed the clear day.
It’s a devil of a move, it’s a masquerade;
too soon lightening will parade.
Let rain tumble,
we are thirsty--
drink quickly. It will dry.

Is it too hot or cold today?
Nobody’s pleased
everyday . . .
too hot, cold, wet or dry.
Why can’t we appreciate one day at a time;
let true serenity ring, chime?
