Bet you didn’t know that beyond the sun’s glow
your wings are waiting plus a gown and halo.
Stars--glistening, twinkling--dance in delight;
come take my hand and tango in the moonlight.
Yield your spirit to light, twirl in the heavens,
be reborn as the star that you’ve always been.
Made in His image . . . a child of His creation--
no gaseous shooting star, angel afar.
Look to the heavens for sweet serenity.
We’re all spirits thriving for eternity
because that’s how the good Lord meant it to be.
This body sheds when we lay down our heads--
our appearance changes, a new being . . . we.
Radiant, illuminating guardians
of those in our charge who are living below.
Each comet a forerunner of where they’ll go.
The magnificence of our great galaxy
is it’s undeniable infinity.
Planets revolving, the sun ever-shining
like the spirit of mankind--one forever!
Follow my lead--our journey lasts a lifetime.
