He gives me laughter to cope and to share with others.
On ancient cobbled stones I tip-toed with the dead
in swelling earthen beds of swirling pools of red
on a street downtown
stepping ever softly I still yet tripped and slipped
the hardened cadavers beside me turned and grinned
dark--horrid with sound
enveloped and engulfed me like a leering hound
stalked, I shivered . . . wishing to be nowhere around
a light beamed on down
a warm and gentle hand helped me rise to my feet
a soft and caring soul who cherished my heartbeat
on His head a crown
His clothing was foreign . . . a gown around him draped
grateful for His helpfulness--glad I had escaped
to streets of pure gold
I heard
(lo and behold, the deaf shall hear;
the crippled walk and the blind see)
a chorus of angels sweetly singing
bells--liberty and equality--were ringing
faith was the key . . . bold!
Wonderful write indeed Sandra! It's very inspiring!
Ha-ha! It's never easy to fish. A good fish story! Heehee!
I'm still working on the story. I've put one more chapter in. Now there are 5 chapters instead of 4. Will be ready in the morning, and it will go out in the afternoon.
Hope all is well with you, Doogie and Al!
Talk to you later!
