So tired
many miles . . . traveled a long, hard way.
I cannot return.
It’s too dark I’ll stray
from the narrow pathway;
I’ll wait till the light of day.
I’m weary
but I must carry on--following You.
All I am, I owe You. I love you too.
I wandered around
til You turned me around.
Surely I am homeward bound.
Tired bones . . .
ev’ry step we take is one less mistake
because we both know my soul is at stake
so of You and Your strength, I will partake.
Then You carry me
when I stoop in mis’ry
evil’s dripping like dysentry.
So tired . . .
wish I could lay down, stop trying to please.
“Do forgive me Lord,” I beg on bent knees.
Satan throws wrenches in such simple deeds.
To some human hearts, he holds all the keys.
I’ve got my sights set
on the best target yet.
You are the best Soul I’ve met.
So tired
but I keep trying; there is no denying
life is not easy when Satan’s tempting.
Your love’s sincere; Your light’s always shining.
You, with Your grace, lead me—always defining
how peace would bring love without humans dying.
I give
my life unto You,
doing what You want me to.
Help me to live life anew.
Tried, true ,
I love loving You!
