Vibrant pinkish, orange streak, peek over the mountain
while sly, wayward winds pucker to blow up a storm.
Hold your head up high, don’t cry. Faith has wings, you’ll fly.
Deep inside the heart of every living thing
is a soul that will live until the end of time.
Faith’s an umbrella when life drenches us with dread--
beware of what is rising below, falling overhead.
Faith lifts us higher than any mountain dares peak
to rock us so comfortingly when we dare sleep.
Vibrant pinkish, orange streaks bellow streamers of life
but our wayward ways pucker to blow us apart.
Hold your head up high, don’t cry. Faith has wings, you’ll fly.
There is no darkness that His love light cannot pierce.
God, His love, behold … serenity pure, fierce.
Can’t imagine stumbling alone in the dark.
Won’t. He’s nearby, holding me, ne’er far apart.
We share one Father with a never-dying heart.
When wayward things come, I believe; faith’s for keeps.
